Comments on Locality Data
In this paper [1], P. disargus distribution was declared as "Luzon Island, Nueva Vizcaya Province" (page 146, reference 1). Under type material for this species, the paper indicated the holotype to have been collected in the municipality of Kasibu, and the paratypes were collected in the municipality of Kayapa.
Similar to what is discussed in P. tetramaculatus, GPS coordinates and images of the sampling areas for this particular species were also not presented in the paper. Documentary provenance such as the Wildlife Gratuitous Permit (WGP) can be reviewed to verify the accuracy of locality data. A copy of the WGP can be acquired through a Freedom of Information request to the issuing DENR regional office. In this case, it is Region II - Cagayan Valley.
Commentary on the data as well as other related insights are discussed in the post for P. kirklayroni.
