Comments on Locality Data In this paper [1], P. congestus aedamlayroni distribution was declared as "Luzon island, Ilocos Province" (page 149, reference 1). The declared locality is similar to P. kirklayroni in the same paper. The commentary on the data as well as other related insights are discussed in the post for  P. kirklayroni . Comments on Locality Data The paper [1] declared the distribution to be "Luzon Island, Ilocos Province" (page 144, reference 1). However, there are two provinces named Ilocos: Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur . This seems to indicate a lack of understanding about the locality and the jurisdiction of permits. The lack of understanding seems to be also present in the Introduction section of the paper where it says, "...all included taxon’s, on my best knowledge , are distributed on

Comments on Locality Data The paper [1] presented the locality data as "Mindanao, P. I. / Bukidnon Prov. / Maluko" (page 267, reference 1). Distribution was also declared as "Philippines, Mindanao Island, Bukidnon Province" (page 268, reference 1).  This second statement discarding "Maluko" altogether might be an indication that the place is not very well understood. Maluko is the original name of the Municipality of Manolo Fortich. Maluko was chan

The following is not a full list, but shall be constantly updated. The information presented here are based only on the publications listed under the references. The International Code of Zoological Nomenclature (ICZN) defines a "holotype" as "the single specimen upon which a new nominal species-group taxon is based in the original publication" (Chapter 16, Article 73.1, reference 9). The Wildlife Export Certification issued by the DENR for specimens that are transported outside of the country states that: "Further, upon completion of the Research purposes, representatives of all the species collected, excluding holotypes may be retained on deposit with the [foreign university] and all remaining specimens including holotypes shall be returned to the Philippines and deposited at the National Museum of
